Project

Marella's lighting concept was developed for the opening of its flagship store in the heart of Milan, beneath the arches of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The boutique, designed by CLS Architetti, extends over three levels, and, in keeping with the concept, the products are distributed across different "rooms," separated by light curtains or floor-to-ceiling furnishings. Marella's lighting design followed this approach, creating different atmospheres in each space to evoke a welcoming, domestic atmosphere. From the luminous Barrisol surfaces that diffuse a soft light throughout the space, to the coffered ceilings conceived as skylights, to a striking, decorative, and sparkling pendant light in the area dedicated to the most exclusive fashions, each element contributes to defining the spaces' identity. This very space features Vistosi's Minigiogali, a dramatic "flower" ceiling light in pure transparent crystal, measuring 2 meters in diameter and 1 meter high. The composition, thanks to its exquisite materiality and ability to refract light, becomes an iconic element of the project, helping to enhance the spatial experience and the brand's identity. In the various departments, downlights directly highlight the products, placing them at the center of attention. In addition to the lighting integrated into the furnishings, designed to highlight clothing and accessories displayed on the shelves, a continuous line of light installed beneath the suspended modules completes the concept, visually defining the boundaries between the different rooms. The concept's success subsequently led to the opening of numerous other stores, both in Italy and abroad. This contributed to the definition of a true Lighting Concept, based on a series of design parameters capable of adapting to different contexts while always maintaining a consistent brand identity.
