Gregorio Spini

Gregorio Spini, born in Milan in 1958, is a designer with a diverse background. In 1996, he founded Kundalini (www.kundalini.it), a unique example in the lighting industry of a company that achieved global commercial and critical success from scratch. This success has led to direct collaborations with some of the greatest architects and designers of our time, including Norman Foster, Zaha Hadid, Future Systems, Alessandro Mendini, Paola Navone, Karim Rashid, and many others. In 2008, he left his company to work as a freelance designer and as a design consultant and brand strategy advisor. In 2010, he co-founded CDC (Colani Design Corporation) and contributes to the management of the work of the master Luigi Colani in Italy and around the world. He is the author of several editorial projects and has lectured in English at the Master's in Product Design at the Politecnico di Milano. He was elected a member of the Business Department of the ADI (Italian Industrial Design Association) and leads the ADI Impresa Docet project. In 2013, he founded Delight Design (www.delightdesign.it), a new lighting company. He was also appointed to design and artistically direct the cultural section of Moscow Design Week 2013, which he curated and organized the landmark conceptual exhibition: DesignSuperAntiHeroes – Design as a Fluid State of Mind and a Disinterested Attitude.
