Founded in 1999, Romani Saccani Architetti Associati was born from the meeting between architects Michele Romani and Mauro Saccani, both born in Milan in 1970. Having trained first in industrial design at the Istituto Statale d'Arte in Monza and subsequently in architecture at the Politecnico di Milano, they developed a design approach that combines architectural culture, product sensitivity, and a constant pursuit of essentiality. For the firm, simplicity does not represent a renunciation of complexity, but rather its most refined synthesis: a simple idea is never banal, but elegant.

Their design philosophy is based on the ability to reinterpret the memory of the past and transform it into a contemporary language. Each project arises from the encounter between imagination and concreteness, between creative intuition and technical rigor, with the goal of creating objects capable of lasting over time. The clearer and more essential an idea, the greater its expressive power: a principle that runs through the studio's entire production and translates into balanced forms, measured details, and a particular attention to proportion.

After their initial experiences in architecture and participation in design competitions, Michele Romani and Mauro Saccani gradually shifted their focus toward product design, collaborating with leading Italian lighting and furniture companies. The architectural approach, however, remains the guiding thread of each project, allowing them to conceive objects not as isolated elements, but as parts of a larger space, in dialogue with the environment and its inhabitants.
