Born in France in 1967, Emmanuel Babled is an international designer who has built his design research around the intersection of craftsmanship, technological innovation, and the culture of materials. Trained at the IED in Milan, where he founded his own studio in 1992, Babled has developed a multidisciplinary approach from the outset, transcending the confines of product design to encompass art, interior architecture, creative direction, and research into production processes.

His work is based on the belief that the value of a project comes from direct contact with the place, the people, and the techniques that make it possible. Each object is the result of a dialogue between artisanal know-how and innovation, in which materials, culture, and technology merge to create essential, contemporary products designed to last. For Babled, design is not merely a formal exercise, but a tool capable of creating connections between local traditions and global scenarios, enhancing manufacturing heritage through new design perspectives.

Throughout his career, he has lived and worked between Paris, Milan, Amsterdam, and Lisbon, building an international network of collaborations with European companies, manufacturers, and artisanal districts. Today, his studio operates with a pan-European approach, bringing together skills, materials, and technologies from diverse contexts to develop projects that combine artisanal quality, sustainability, and innovation. His interest in the anthropology of design leads him to observe materials and techniques directly in the places where they originate, transforming local knowledge into a tool for research and experimentation.
