Born in Venice on October 14, 1949, he began working with glass at just 10 years old, learning from the great master Livio Seguso.

At the age of 16, Fulvio Scarpa entrusted him with his first job as a master glassmaker. In 1979, he founded Filigrana srl, an artistic company in line with the increasingly influential Paolo Crepax, which established itself in the artistic glass market thanks to its elegant filigree creations, drawn by fire and forged with passion. In 1985, a jury of illustrious master glassmakers (including Alfredo Barbini, Archimede Seguso, Ermanno Nason, and Silvio Seguso) celebrated his talent by awarding him the prestigious "Murano Prize" for his plate "Homage to Mirò." His collaboration with the painter Riccardo Schwarzer confirmed his artistic talent, for which Crepax won the "Murano Prize" again the following year.
