Francesco Lucchese
designer
Born in Messina in 1960 and holding a degree in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan, Francesco Lucchese is a leading figure in contemporary Italian design. Since 1985, when Lucchesedesign was founded, he has developed a cross-disciplinary approach that spans architecture, product design, interior design, and art direction, building a working method grounded in multidisciplinarity and the ability to interpret projects in all their facets.
The studio's philosophy is based on the belief that the value of each project stems from the convergence of diverse skills. Architects, designers, graphic designers, communication experts, and strategic consultants work together to develop solutions that integrate function, identity, and innovation.
Throughout his career, Francesco Lucchese has collaborated with numerous international companies in the fields of furniture, lighting, bathrooms, surfaces, and architecture, developing products and environments characterized by a minimalist, elegant, and technologically advanced language. At the same time, Lucchesedesign's work has expanded into architecture and interior design, with the creation of hotels, showrooms, public spaces, and private residences in Europe and Asia.
In addition to his professional career, Lucchese is actively involved in academics, teaching at the School of Design at the Politecnico di Milano and participating in international workshops and conferences. He is a member of the ADI Lombardia board of directors, actively contributing to the dissemination of design culture and the promotion of the quality of Italian design.

The collaboration with Vistosi stems from a shared pursuit of balance between technological innovation, glass culture, and design quality. For the company, he designed the Anisette, Armonia, and Stardust collections, three projects united by the desire to enhance the expressive qualities of Murano blown glass through a contemporary and refined language. Each collection interprets light differently, exploring transparencies, volumes, and reflections with great compositional sensitivity. Armonia, awarded an Honorable Mention at the ADI Compasso d'Oro 2021, represents a significant example of the studio's ability to combine formal research, technical innovation, and artisanal mastery—values that characterize the entire collaboration with Vistosi.
Over the course of his career, Francesco Lucchese has received numerous international awards, including the ADI Compasso d'Oro, the Red Dot Design Award, Design Plus, the Good Design Award, and the ADI Honorable Mention. A journey that demonstrates ongoing design research oriented toward innovation, multidisciplinarity, and the ability to transform design into a tool capable of creating value for companies and improving the quality of the spaces and objects that accompany us in everyday life.
