Founded in 1991 in La Neuveville, Switzerland, by Aurel Aebi, Armand Louis, and Patrick Reymond, atelier oï is one of the most internationally recognized design studios. Born from the encounter of three personalities with different backgrounds—architecture, design, and shipbuilding—the studio has built a unique design identity over the years, grounded in the fusion of disciplines, experimentation, and a profound culture of making.

The name oï, inspired by the Russian word troika, evokes the strength of a group of three individuals who share a common vision while maintaining their individuality. It is precisely this creative alliance that represents the heart of the studio: a continuous dialogue between diverse skills, sensibilities, and experiences, resulting in projects capable of transcending the traditional boundaries between architecture, interior design, product design, and scenography.

For atelier oï, every project arises from observation, experimentation, and a direct relationship with the material. This dialogue gives rise to Dione and Essence, two collections that interpret blown glass through a contemporary, essential, and refined language. In both, Murano craftsmanship meets rigorous formal research, resulting in objects that express lightness, balance, and a profound attention to the relationship between light, materials, and space. Glass thus becomes the protagonist of the project: not a simple material, but a living element, capable of shaping light and transforming it into a perceptive and emotional experience.
